1. How does Freedom Call work?
Step 1 : Dial our access numbers 028 3000 011 from your mobile using your plan minutes.Step 2:: Follow the instructions, dial 00 + Country Code + Destination Number + #
Step 3 : Wait till we get you connected to your destination for free.
2. Is this service actually free, what's the catch?
Yes FreedomCalls.co.nz provides free international calls, however you are responsible for the local leg of the call i.e. the cost of the call from your mobile to our gateway Access Numbers.For example if you make a 30 Minutes call to India using our access number, you are going to be charged by your mobile phone provider for a 30 minute call to our access number and International part of the call to India is Free.
3. Do you have different access numbers for customers on Vodafone and Telecom network?
Yes, we will have separate access numbers for customers on Vodafone and Telecom network. At this stage we have access numbers for customers on Telecom network.Access numbers for customers on Telecom network

5. Do I need to provide any personal information or enter any pin codes?
No. You do not need to create an account or provide us with any of your personal information or enter any pin codes. To use our service simply dial one of our Access Numbers and get connected. It's a simple and easy to use service.6. Who should use FreedomCalls.co.nz?
If you are paying outrageous calling rates to make International calls directly from your mobile phone and it's cheaper to call a local mobile number than you should use our service.If you only make international calls once in a while and do not want to purchase a calling card than you should use our service.
If you are on a plan which allows you to assign Buddy Numbers, than you can assign one of our access numbers as your buddy number and make the most of our service.
7. Is your access number a premium number?
No. Our access number is a normal NZ mobile number. You will only be charged for a local mobile call charge by your provider. You will never receive a bill from us.
8. What mobile network is your access number on?
Our access number is not part of any major network. Thus, free minutes among the same network cannot be utilized to use our service. For Eg: If you are a Vodafone customer and you have free minutes to call from Vodafone to Vodafone, such minutes do not support our service.
9. Can I call using a landline?
No, at this moment we only support access from mobiles.
10. Can I call using a computer or soft phone?
You cannot use a computer or soft phone to dial our access number. Our service works best with a mobile phone plans.
11 .How does the system work?
We have developed a VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) network that allows you to place internet calls from your mobile phone instead of through your computer.
When you dial the access numbers above, you are connecting to Freedom Call's Voice over IP International Gateway. From there your call is placed over the internet in the same way as Skype, Vonage, and other VOIP services. When your call reaches the country you are dialling, we convert it back over to the local phone system, and it rings the dialled number just like a regular phone call. It is a simple and easy to use service. Just Dial one of our Access Numbers to get started.
12. Why don't you provide access to ALL countries and networks globally?
Some countries and networks are too expensive to provide access to unfortunately, however we are constantly working to come up with a plan to cater to other countries in the world.
13. Do I get a specified bill?
No, you do not get any bill from us. You receive the bill from your own telecom provider.
14. Where do I apply?
Applying/registering for our service is not necessary. We offer an instant dialling service. Simply dial one of our Access Numbers and get connected to your loved ones.
